Privacy Policy

Say Toucan is operated by Robot Armin LLC ("Say Toucan", "we", "us"). This policy describes the personal information we collect when you use saytoucan.com, boards hosted by Say Toucan on customer domains, and related services (together, the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

Account information. When you sign in with Google or an email link, we receive your email address and, where available, your name and profile picture.

Content. The boards, feature requests, votes, comments, reactions, and settings you create, and the name shown with them.

Billing information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is handled by Stripe. We receive and store your Stripe customer identifier and subscription status. We do not receive or store your card number.

Technical information. Server logs that include your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, and timestamps. We use this information to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Service.

Communications. Messages you send us, including through the contact form and by email.

2. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and browser storage that are necessary to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences.

On saytoucan.com only, we use the Google Ads conversion tag to measure whether an advertisement led to a sign-up or a subscription. This tag sets Google cookies. It is not loaded on customer domains. Information about how Google uses this data is available at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

3. How we use information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
• To authenticate you and secure your account.
• To send transactional email, such as sign-in links, and notifications about requests you posted or follow. You can unsubscribe from notifications at any time.
• To process subscriptions and payments.
• To respond to your messages.
• To detect, prevent, and address abuse, fraud, and security issues.
• To comply with legal obligations.

4. How information is shared

We share personal information only in the following circumstances:

• Service providers that process data on our behalf: Google Cloud and Firebase (hosting, database, authentication), Cloudflare (content delivery and custom domains), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), and Google Ads (conversion measurement on saytoucan.com). These providers are bound by contract to process data only as needed to provide their services.
• Board owners and members. Content you post to a board, together with the name and profile picture on your account, is visible to the owner and administrators of that board. If the board is public, it is visible to anyone with the link and may be indexed by search engines.
• Legal requirements. When required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Say Toucan, our users, or others.
• Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information.

We do not sell personal information.

5. Data retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account exists. You can delete your boards and content at any time. To delete your account, email support@saytoucan.com. We delete or anonymize account data within 30 days of a verified request, except where we must keep it to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. International transfers

The Service is operated from the United States and hosted on Google Cloud and Cloudflare infrastructure. If you use the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries whose data protection laws differ from those in your country.

8. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can update your name and avatar in your account settings and delete your own content directly. For other requests, email support@saytoucan.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, email support@saytoucan.com and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and change the date at the top. If the changes are material, we will notify you by email or by a notice in the Service before they take effect.
